With a strong foundation in chemistry and a focus on electrochemistry and nanomaterials, I have cultivated a diverse academic and research career.
I hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Madras (1999), following my Postdoctoral Fellowships at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras (1998) and Sunchon National University in South Korea (2005–2007), where I worked in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
My research further expanded during a visiting scientist tenure at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru, focusing on nanomaterials and nanoelectrocatalysis in 2010.
I was also honoured to be selected as a Brainpool Research Fellow at Sunchon National University from 2014 to 2015 — one of only 32 researchers worldwide chosen by the Government of South Korea for groundbreaking research in electrochemistry.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Madras (1986–1989), where I graduated first in my class, and continued with a Master of Science in Applied Chemistry from Anna University (1989–1991), earning first-class distinction.
